Hi! I'm James Albritton. Welcome to Salt Fork Images, my Smugmug photography website. Engineering is my profession but photography is my passion..... or at least one of them. Read on....
These are my people. Jill and I have been married for 23 fantastic years. Sara is 16 and Aaron is 14.
We live in Aledo, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth, where we attend the First Baptist Church. You can see some of my church photos
here.
We love skiing and snowboarding at Grand Targhee in Wyoming.   When we go, we stay in Driggs, Idaho, the center of Teton Valley just over the mountains from Jackson Hole. (Sara and Aaron like shoveling snow too!)
Aaron is my Rock Star. This is a shot of him playing his guitar at church. He may look calm on the outside, but on the inside he is totally jammin'.
The Salt Fork of the Brazos River is the inspiration for my website name - SaltForkImages.com. I have a ranch there where I enjoy hunting wild hogs and whitetail deer.
When I'm not shooting with a rifle or a bow, I shoot with a Canon 1D Mark III and a variety of lenses. My favorite subjects are mountains, sports, flowers, and animals.
And yes, I have started taking portraits too. I never thought I would, but I have....
I love the hardware and software side of digital photography. In the end, though, it's still all about perfect light and inspiring composition.
I hope you enjoy the collection of my
Personal Favorites.
You can check out my
Portrait business, too.
Oh yeah....
I mentioned earlier that my profession is engineering so I should probably tell you about that.
I've invented several highway safety products including this crash cushion (photo courtesy of Trinity Industries, Inc.) A company in Dallas sells them all over the world for me and I provide technical support to them while I try to think up new ideas..... and take photos!
UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE!
I've taken on a new challenge! I am now a part-time teacher of Calculus, Geometry, and Advanced Math at a small private school. CALCULUS ROCKS!
As you return to my
main page, I hope you enjoy the photos. If you find something you like, you can order prints by clicking "buy: this photo," and then following the easy steps.
